Nine separate bombs exploded at the Bodh Gaya temple, an important Buddhist shrine in in the Bihar region of India this weekend. Two people were reportedly injured by the blasts, but nobody was killed in the attacks.
According to the BBC, “India’s junior home minister, RPN Singh, said the blasts ‘seem like a terror attack.’ No group has said it was responsible.”
The Bodh Gaya temple is a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
