Destruction of Village Churches in France

A new crisis in laïcité, a version of secularization, has arisen in provincial France. A number of village churches have been demolished, leading to complaints that French rural culture is beyond destroyed.


French historians and other scholars are weighing in on this politically charged issue in France.
